About:Sixteen years experience serving in local government. Ten years as Director of Zoning, Building, GIS & Economic Development for Rock Island County Illinois. Six years with Horry County IT/GIS Department. Responsible for assisting with budgeting, writing RFPs, vendor selection/recommendations, creating specifications for hardware, software, services and consulting services for all IT/GIS related projects and purchases.
Horry County is currently implementing a number of enterprise software solutions for Public Safety (CAD, Police Records, Fire Records, Jail Records, AVL and mobile), CAMA (Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal), Public Works (Azteca Cityworks), Code Enforcement, Planning and Zoning (enerGov), Register of Deeds (OnCore by Aptitude Solutions), Content Management (OnBase), Enterprise Reporting (Crystal Reports for the Enterprise).
Horry County Government (IT/GIS) has been awarded the ESRI SAG Award 2006, The Cityworks Innovator of the Year Award 2007, and 2 Digital Counties Awards 2006, 2007 from Government Technology Magazine, GITA Award in Excellence 2007, Real Solutions Award Winner 2007 Document Management.

About:Brian grew up in northern New Jersey and has a Bachelors of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of South Carolina and a Masters of Science in GIS and Remote Sensing from the University of South Carolina. Prior to joining Richland County Government, Brian worked with the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC and the South Carolina Department of Commerce in Columbia, SC. He is married and currently lives in Columbia, SC.

About:Kat started her GIS career with the US Fish and Wildlife Service in 1998
at the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. She was in charge of
mapping invasive plant species, and also assisted in mapping wildlife
habitats and patterns. In 2001, she joined the City of North
Charleston. As the citys only full time GIS employee, she is involved
in every aspect of GIS development. She enjoys the daily challenge of
meeting the GIS needs of each city department.

About:Mike has a Bachelor of Arts in Geography with an emphasis in GIS, Environmental Research Analysis and Cartography from Florida Atlantic University. He has been working in the GIS field for 7.5 years, originally starting his career as a GIS Technician for the City of Greenville, SC, and presently as the GIS Manager for Metropolitan Sewer Sub-District, also located in Greenville, SC. Mike was the SCARC Program Coordinator for the 2007 SCARC Conference currently serves as chairman for the Greenville County Geographic Information Alliance and is also involved in many GIS user groups. Seeing the daily benefits of GIS has made Mike a firm believer in the technology and its ever expanding list of uses.
