GIS Data, Maps, and IMS Links for South Carolina
The following links lead to South Carolina GIS data and services. This GIS data is comprised of a wide range of proprietary and standard map and graphics file formats, images, CAD files, spreadsheets, relational databases, and many more sources. Data is free or fee-based and comes from commercial, nonprofit, educational, and governmental sources; other GIS software users; as well as your own organization.

ESRIs Geography Network shares geographic data and services through a global network of publishers. South Carolina data can be found using the search engine.

South Carolina DHEC |
The DHEC site is intended to provide customers a central location to find information about GIS activities, applications, resources, and procedures at SCDHEC. Components available to customers include;
SCDHEC GIS Data Dictionary, GIS Web Applications, and SIGIS.

SC Dept of Natural Resources |
This is the home page for the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources GIS Data Clearinghouse. The purpose of this site is to make available the GIS data that SCDNR has been developing since 1989. These data will cover about 85% of state upon completion. Please understand this site is under construction and data will be coming on-line continually so be sure to come back and check our site often. We do not have any metadata online at this time but development is underway and we hope to have it available soon.

 York County Government |
City and County leaders have come to agree that data sharing between jurisdictional boundaries is advantageous to everyone. This website allows many agencies including the Cities of Rock Hill and York to share data with citizens through the county’s GIS Online website Internet presence. Notice the rotating seal graphic at the upper left portion of the web page; each contributing agency is represented here. Data shared through the website include addresses, zoning, fire hydrants, and water and sewer utilities for Rock Hill. The integration of data from multiple communities and jurisdictions presents new opportunities to address countywide issues and problems. It also aids in better informed government decisions and enhanced coordination among governments and communities due to the seamless map integration when tapping data sources.

The Berkeley County Geographic Information System (BCGIS) is a regional geographic information resource that provides for the business needs of Berkeley County Government, Berkeley County GIS Consortium, and the general public. The Berkeley County GIS Consortium consists of Berkeley County, Berkeley County Water and Sanitation Authority, Berkeley Electric Cooperative, Berkeley County Soil and Water Conservation District, Berkeley County School District, Home Telephone Company Inc., the City of Goose Creek, the City of Hanahan, the Town of Moncks Corner, and Santee Cooper.
